You & Me: Stronger Together

Many have asked us if there is something CTMH could do to support those affected by recent severe weather in the US, and they’ve also had requests to extend the availability of the You & Me scrapbooking kit offered during the month of May. They’ve combined those two aims into a single campaign called You & Me: Stronger Together, to raise funds for the survivors of the severe storms that have pummeled the Midwest and Southern states.

During the month of June, order a You & Me kit for only $15(a retail value of $34.95), and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross 2011 Floods and Tornadoes relief operations. So, I was contacted by the Close To My Heart office a couple of weeks ago. They asked me if I would be willing to create something to be donated to the Operation Smile Silent Auction!

Of course, I was delighted and quickly agreed....then came the hard part! WHAT IN THE WORLD DO I CREATE!

I didn't have enough time to order anything, so I had to go with CTMH products I had on hand (which wasn't a problem!)...

I finally decided on a My Creations ®Display Albums. Here you will see only a select few of the pages! I hope you like it! I also hope that during the Silent Auction thousands of dollars are raised to help improve lives!

It was named Happy Hour for a couple of reasons!

#1 If you have grumpy kids or husbands...you get to leave them behind for a couple hours each month!

#2 You don't have to clean to reap the hostess rewards, you just leave your house once a month. Once during the 10 month time frame you will reap the Close To My Heart hostess rewards (a minimum of $25 in CTMH product)

So...here is the scoop!

Happy Hour is a great way to earn free product while budgeting your wish list! You are paired with others to create "a party". Each member is chosen to be the hostess one month. Each club member agrees to place a minimum $15 order (before shipping and tax) every month for the next 10 months (November-July) from the current Close To My Heart Idea Book. *If you don't have one, I will get you one.

We meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month. We will be meeting at my home. (326 NW Crestview Drive) You will create at least 6 cards (or projects) every month (2 each of 3 designs). You will be provided with an example and be shown how to create the card. All the pieces to make the card will be supplied. All you need to do is put them together.

If you are nervous about joining/coming alone, recruit a friend to join the club with you! *A gift will be given to you if you recruit a friend to join the group with you! Ü

On one of the months we meet, you will be the hostess! Meaning, along with your minimum order, you will ALSO be able to choose at least $15 in FREE product from the ideabook!

If you are unable to make it one on of our evenings, you would still get your order/$ to me and your cards will be made for you! The cards will be delivered with your order!

7.What are the shipping policies for Studio J?
Basic Shipping
Close To My Heart products are shipped to the continental United States by United Parcel Service (UPS), to the non-continental US by United States Postal Service Priority Mail, and to Canada by Landmark. Note that UPS does not deliver orders to post office boxes. Studio J layouts ship in a protected box that can hold from 1 to 20 two-page layouts. Standard shipping/handling per box is priced as follows:

2.What kind of receipt do I receive when I place my order?

3.Can I combine classic and Studio J orders?

4.What if I don’t like my layouts when I receive them?
All Studio J products are backed by the Close To My Heart guarantee, but user error is not covered by this guarantee. When you are ready to purchase your layouts, you will be asked to look at them again and give final approval. Projects that print as shown on the approval screen will not be eligible for returns. Suprise in the Mail!

I am so excited! I received this hand stamped card in the mail from the office staff and Close To my Heart!

I was asked to contribute some artwork for a Silent Auction (all proceeds benefiting operationsmile.org) that was held during our Convention in July. I submitted a kitchen set (covered canister with kitchen tools, My Creations™ recipe/photo box, and a My Creations™ Artboard). I did take pictures, unfortunately I erased them before I put them onto my computer.

As a thank you, they sent me this WAY CUTE card and a cute little (autographed by the Founder & CEO of CTMH) stamp set called Make It From The Heart.

Wow! I love getting surprises in the mail! Much better than bills!

the velvet (oooo la la) ribbon comes from the Creative Basics kit found in the Close To my Heart Summer Ideabook on page 30 of the Summer 2010 Idea book. I love how it is paired with the Cherry-o Paper! The words Happy Birthday have been embossed

Don't you just love those trees! Jo Marie received the True Happiness Stamp set (page 42) last month as part of her FREE product for hosting a gathering!

Julie created another great 2 page scrapbook layout. She used the buttons she purchased last month. She also used her Howdy Stamp (page 37-horse and hay images) set with the waterbrush!

Michelle made her Dad this card using muted brown colors. I love the matching stamped envelope!

So much fun. Much needed talking and laughter! Thanks for coming ladies!

I will be adding another Happy Hour Group to my schedule in November. Let me know if you are interested! If you would like to start a group earlier than that with several of your gal pals, we can do that too!

Kids Scrapbook Club~July

Our theme for July was Red. White. Blue.

I went for a multi purpose layout...one that could be used with traveling, fireworks, parades, summerfest, summer, etc.

The girls really seemed to like antiquing the layouts once they were all assembled! Some ended up a lot darker than they should have been, but they had fun!

The girls got to create 5 large pebble magnets. They choose the papers they wanted.

I was privelaged to listen to a couple of Justin Biebers songs while they worked! Gotta love pre-teens!

We will be meeting again on August 16th from 9:30-10:30 with the theme GAME ON! $10

If your child is interested, please let me know ASAP, so enough packets can be made!
